Dc asr subframe brace

I got one froma buddy for my gsr, Its a 94-01 dc rear neochrome subframe, my cars more of a show car and just sits in the garage. Im curious if that will bolt onto the da subframe? I heard it will, however just cant use a sway bar. Ive got the noechrome, lcas-tiebar-andsubframe, so i want to keep it all the same. Again i paid 80$ for a 299$ subframe.

good question… try it and find out…

i think that one of them is longer than the other though… i could be wrong…

since you already bought it, might as well try it out right?

lol yea… i think this question should of been asked BEFORE the purchase… i understand the part was being sold at great deal but… the part isnt for your car…

it should fit just fine… You can even run eg/dc lca’s… back when there wasnt much DA rear braces or lcas i bought eg/dc setup and it fit on my DA no prob. alot of stuff works believe it or not. ive ran the D2 suspension i had in my DA way back when also an EK and a DC…

Then why all the fuss? I heard you just cant run the sway bar, but the subframe bolts up fine.

just get under there and if it works post pics and if it dont still post pics… that way its cleared up once and for all with valid proof…

Its on the fedex truck for delivery for the 15th, cross your fingers!

if i remember searching correctly a little while back you need a ITR sway bar or something comparable to run it
if i remember searching correctly a little while back you need a ITR sway bar or something comparable to run it
not necessarily, you can have the subframe brace and not have a sway bar attached to it. its just you need the subframe brace to run the ITR sway bar in order to prevent subframe tear out.

and seeing that ASR makes one specifically for the DA with big brackets that go into the spare tire well, i dont think this will fit because well simply because of they have one specifically for DAs.

i know it was something, thanks for the clarification

It won’t fit. However it can easily be made to fit and will work fine with no problems. I have a DC rear brace with the jdm itr 23mm sway bar. Haven’t had no problems for 2 years that I’ve been driving the car.

All you will need to do is to measure the distance from the inner sides of the lca from you car. Take those measurements and center then on the new brace you want to install, drill out new holes and your set. NOTE: if your going to run the dc sway bar you will have to drill out the new holes onto the brackets that go behind the brace.
