Hey I would like to know if anyone here has posted a Do it yourself for a DC dash conversion for my 1990 teg. I’ve got the b16 engine setup already, but I was hoping to get the DC dash converted into my car. What would I need and how would I be able to do it? Pics would be amazing.

I really need some help on this one Thanks!
To answer your question: A DC dashboard, and all the tools to modify it to fit.
If you don’t have the tools to do it, don’t bother. It’s going to take a ton of modification to make it fit. And I don’t mean just cutting a few pieces off the DC and throwing it in, you’re going to need to fabricate all kinds of brackets, electrical connectors, modify the steering column, etc etc.
I was told that if you get the DC dash, it should fit no problem as long as you change the doorpanels as well, or shave the sides by the doors. Everything else is electrical related. correct me if Im wrong I really never tried this before. Im part of Torontointegras.ca and they told me all I jsut said.
Neither has 99% of people on this forum. So it will just have to be trial and error.
well maybe that 1% will chime in and help the guy out… no hurt in trying eh?
Bvann, I think you’re missing the point. It’s not likely that it’s a bolt-on thing. Lots and lots of custom work will probably need to go into making it work. It’s not like swapping suspension, changing an intake, or installing a new exhaust, those things have instructions and it is basically “Unbolt old part. Bolt on new part in the reverse order.”
The windshield has a different curve, the doors are different, the center console is different, EVERYTHING is different. I doubt Honda left the dashboard mounting structure the same when they designed the G3. I know for a fact that the door panels won’t work.
I think someone over at your other website is just fucking with you. I’ve never seen it done in an acceptable manner, in the 6 years I’ve been on this website, so I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say it’s not an easy process. It would be cool to see it done correctly though.
Thanks a lot for the replies guys. I can say I have seen one done here in Toronto, and it looked soooo clean. Its just that I forgot to get the guy’s name so I couldnt ask him myself. It does comeout really well if you can do it correctly. I understand a lot of fabrication is gonna have to be done. Thanks a lot. If anyone has done this before please msg me, or email me at Branavan.muralee@gmail.com Thanks!
I don’t understand the point of mods like this. So much work for little to no benefit.
Its the uniqueness of the car, How often do u see a DA with a DC dash? it takes away the older look of the interior and mixes in with the beautiful exterior lol. Plus I go to Car shows and all it’ll be really good to boost my car’s rep to win best of show.
That would be nice, i like dc dash. I see a perfect point in this, maybe not everybody will see the point, but i think making your car look better and unique is big enough benefit, if you ever get it done keep us updated.
I don’t know but I think DC dashes are bubbly and ugly. It doesn’t go with the interior of the DA…
i saw an EG hatch on craigslist a few weeks ago that the guy did a DC dash conversion into. i couldnt tell if it was nice or not pics sucks.
