dc headers and o2 sensor

i have dc 4-2-1 headers on my car and was wondering if the o2 sensor was taken out. i bought the car the way it is, and the previous owner said he swapped out the old motor and put in a 93 motor. i did some searches, about ECU codes and stuff, and my ecu’s giving me the o2 sensor code, so i went ahead and took a look under the hood and couldnt find the o2 sensor.

so my questions are:
does aftermarket headers eliminate the use of the o2 sensor?
is it safe to run without an o2 sensor?
does it effect engine performance?

sorry, im new to the honda world., pretty much the whole automotive world in general. thanks in advance.

search harder. there are threads telling where the o2 sensor is located on 90-91 and 92-93. if the previous owner swapped in a 93 motor along with 93 header, than the o2 sensor won’t be under the hood.
