DC seats in my DA

Hey everyone, so I noticed that quite a few people ask about putting newer integra seats in our da’s. I was offered some cloth gsr seats as a trade for a catylitic converter, so I figured I’d give it a shot since I had the usual ugly rip in my driver seat.

This is the article that I based the swap on… http://battlecat.8m.com/DelSols_install.htm since DC and del sol rails are the same.

For the inner part of the seat, the article does a good job and everything was pretty much the same. The only part it doesn’t mention, which is self explanitory when you see it, is where the 1.5" spacer is used. There is a bolt pressed in there facing outward that needs to be knocked out. Mine was rusted so I drilled it out. Then you just need to find a new 14mm bolt that’s long enough to go through the spacer and into the new seat. I’m using the stock automatic seatbelts also.

The only thing that was missing from the article was on battlecat’s step 3. That DA slider comes with 2 brackets that need to be removed, I just drilled out the rivets/welds. Once those are removed, the slider now looks like the one in the write-up. Now it can be bolted to the DC recliner (outer) bracket. It helped a lot to open up the holes to get as much side to side adjustability as possible.

Be careful what bolts you use to connect the da slider to the dc bracket or the sliders might hit them and limit seat movement.

So yeah, I got all 4 bolts in, the seats are straight, and the auto seatbelts are secure and working. The seem to sit a bit lower than stock and are comfortable. SORRY I didn’t take any pics during this process. It was a big pain in the ass and I was too busy being pissed off to worry about the camera.

So, here’s the finished product, now it’s time to clean my interior…

nice, i’m about to be making brackets to fit my stock ls sliders, so i can put in a set of Otto R racing seats i paid $20 for!! can’t wait. i’m gonna try to take pics and post them all up.

Today was the first day I drove with them in, was in the car for about an hour. I like them a lot better than my old seats, and I also like sitting a little bit lower.

got my seats in on sunday!! took about 8 hours cause my tools are all over the place, and i just did it, no directions, well i had the basic idea but nothing in front of me.

my seats don’t sit lower, possibly a little higher, but they are racing seats and you simply melt in them compared to the stock LS seats. soooo much better, not that the stocks are bad, but this was definately worth it…$22 for aluminum stock, stock sliders which i already had, 8 hours of labor and $25 for 2 decent racing seats and harnesses!

and i also retained the stock auto belt. I love em, i can have racing seats and still choke the shit out of the passenger without touching them!

Nice work  let’s see some pics
