I’m going to repipe my 92 LS next week, from the manifold back. If I want to put headers on, would the seam between the manifold and the cat be the same as a set of DC headers? And could I interchange the two? Not to be a pain in the ass, but in the winter the manifold holds more heat, not all bad…
I have a DC ceramic header intended for a 94 GSR. If you are wondering why, I bought it for 30 bucks from a friend and had a straight pipe made for another $25. The header is now almost 5 years old, adding the time he and I have used it. No cracks, no leaks, but lots of fun.
I would definitely recommend it. But, if I hadn’t got such a good deal on the one I have, I would have bought a 4-1 DC header, which is what my friend has now and loves it.

The 1 piece is a tad lighter and produces 1-2 more horsepower. But they are harder to install. You’ll be happy with either.
