DC2 armrest in DA?

anyone tried to get the dc2 armrest to fit in a DA? if so do you have pics? or a how-to

thanks

This sounds interesting :read:

I think I’ve come across someone that had this in g2ic but never posted up how they did it.

I’d also like to put in an armrest

Instead of using the DC armrest, you can use the 92-94 Civic armrest (easier to make it fit). I’ve seen it done before somewhere on HT.

i looked on ht couldnt find anything but i think ima give the civic one a try when i come across some extra money to buy one and ill try to make a write up on it but it might take some time…

The DC2 or the EG armrest won’t fit w/ auto seatbelts. I tried both to no avail. You need to get the USDM DA armrest. Its as simple as that. The 89 accord armrest is very similar to the DA, so it may work too. Anyone who says they did the EG/DC2 armrest is either B/Sing or has manual belts.

:getsome::manual:

Corniest qoute ever: “GET yours today! JDM is IN!”

Ive tried with a dc2 armrest shit isnt happening no matter how you try it it wont sit right at all and it wont line up with the center council fyi if anyone wants a dc2 armrest lmk

I’ve got manual seatbelt
I’d like get an arm rest into my db2…been wanting to install one for so long but just need a DIY article

use a 96-00 ek arm rest should mate up perfect im going to do that when i put harnesses in

definitely adding this to my “shopping list” next time I hit the junk yard
any DIYs you can point me to?

I havent done it yet but will when i go to harnesses if there are any tabs on the car i would take those too to help mount in our cars.

just seen a leather arm rest for a da go for $205 on ebay…so upset…

my little brother gave me his DC armrest that he had installed in his EF, never installed it or tried to. but never would of thought of trying an 89 accord one though. hmm maybe i’ll try that…

still waiting for someone to do this!!

Good luck finding one…

its been done

^ I just came a little…

i have an EG arm rest on mine. it was a lil struggle installing it but i love it.

as u can see in the pic jdmb16b posted… it has manual seat belts. it cheaper and lot let hassle to find an armrest that works than it is to get manual seat belts put in.

Yeah but it hasn’t been done correctly. If you look at the pic you can see that the front of it just ends into nothing. Unlike in the DC it mates up with the rest of the console.

I was looking into this at one time and you would need to use the rest of the DC console as well. your gonna have to do some cutting and mess with the mounting bracket for the radio to get everything to line up. And do some plastic epoxy stuff to some of the panels. Doesn’t seem too hard just will take up some time to get it done right.
