i have 2 bad wheel bearings on my car and am wondering if the dc2 spindles will fit?
you just want to replace the rear hub assembly? i believe 90-01 integra is the same
no i was talking front spindles
i believe the actual hub and sealed bearing is the same throughout 90-01 for the front as well
It will fit but your suspension geometry will be off. This is why itr hubs need to be machined to fit our spindles because dc spindles dont have the same dimensions.
well I have a 91 jdm Y1 tranny with a new usdm spec wavetrac lsd for b16 and LS trannies. My 90-93 passanger axel went in but wouldnt lock in the differential… I ended up buying 3 different axels. 1 from autozone, 1 from acura and a 96 ls dc2. For some reason the dc2 inner shaft would lock from the C-clip when pressed in all the way. I ended up having my shop put the dc2 inner shaft on my acura axle and it workd…
pretty sure itr hub is not the same size as rs/ls/gs. that’s why the da knuckle needs to be machined. but only for itr. but yes, dc2 knuckles have different dimensions than da
It’s not the same size that’s why you machine the itr hub to use a da bearing and spindle. You don’t machine the spindle. I have completed this project.
^^oh ok. machine the hub for itr. but 94 LS hub should be the same size as 90-93, no?
No you machine the itr hub and use a da bearing and spindle.
lol. ye, i got that. what i’m saying though is dc2 non itr hub is the same size as da, correct? just the hub
I don’t think so because all dc spindles are the same and dc bearings are the same as well.
ahh ok. i actually wasn’t sure either. sorta OT, but aren’t 94-97 knuckles different from 98-01? i think they are. i have 96 itr knuckles on my da and i’ve seen 98itr knuckles and they have more of a curve to them. the 98+, i mean
The bearings O.D. Is 1mm bigger so you would have to machine the da knuckle to fit, or just the hub but its seems like the hub would be suceptable to breaking. Just my opinion
