DC5 wheels have an extremely high offset, so high offset + 17" wheels would probably mean issues.

on the DA the bolt pattern is 4x100, if you get dc2 R rims they wont fit cause:
96-97 J-Spec = 4x114.3
97-01 US-Spec = 5x114.3
the dc5’s have 5x114
it’s expensive. $900-1100 easily for the conversion without the wheels.

I have made the 5 lug conversion to my car and I can tell you one thing even thoe the car does stop a hell of a lot better, I feel that money would have been better spent else where.
