The left foot rest (driver side)came off. Now there is a small hole. And I can’t remove the 2 nuts because it keeps turning. how did you guys fix it?
I accidentally broke mine. I just left it off. After about a week I got used to it not being there, More leg room LOL
yeah mine came off in the fall/summer last year
both bolts came off of the car and are in the bottom of my dead pedal. Haven’t bothered to put it back on yet 'casuse I’ve kinda gotten used to it now. It does feel a little awkward at first but you’ll get used to it.
As far as getting the nuts off try some WD-40 and getting a budd to hold the other side of the bolt with a wrench so you can crank the nuts off.
I cut a slot on the other side of the bolt with a hacksaw for a flathead screwdriver to hold it while I crank the nut. But I dont have a large enough screwdriver for the job. I’ll take the pedal to advance auto parts tomorrow and see what they can do.
Hey guys, i had that same problem, i think too many close calls? =) But, anyway, i took it to a shop and they used a torch to cut off the old bolts, they found some new bolts the same diameter as the originals and welded those to the floorboard. Then they just put the dead pedal back on and bolted it down. HTH.
LOL I started laughing when I saw this thread. Last year around Christmas my dead pedal fell off. Later that day, it started raining like crazy. I got stuck in some HUGE puddles and the inside driver’s side flooded. Those are some big puddles. Just avoid huge puddles and you’ll be fine
