Dealer Installed alarm

I recently bought a 93 GS from someone who said the dealer installed alarm stopped working about a year ago.
I located some toggle switches under the dash on the drivers side and wanted to know where to go about trouble-shooting this problem.

Thanks in advance.

im assuming there is an inline fuse somewhere, thats what was wrong with mine when i got my car (it was not dealer installed tho) those toggle switches are most likely valet switches.

Start by finding the alarm brain and getting a make and model number.

If it is a dealer installed “OEM” alarm it was made by Alpine and was normally mounted under the drivers seat.

Let me know what you find.:corn:94

I looked under the seat, briefly couldn’t see anything that resembled an alarm. it probably is since the remotes say “Acura” and the guy I bought the car off of said the dealer installed it when he bought the car in 1992.

The dealer installed “OEM” alarm uses “T” harnesses to connect into the cars wiring, getting any info on the alarm will be hard, you might try… http://www.pacparts.com/ or… http://www.hermanelectronics.com/HermanStore/index_page.asp.

Best option is to remove it compleatly and install an up to date alarm.:idea:94
