nothing in the mail, matty…
I’ve been assured by a promoter on an s2000 forum that there is no deadline to sign up. They prolly allow roll-ins who bring the cash, though I only recommend it if their credit card site is down. I think they are just happy to accept anyone and his money.
I have skunk2 sleeves on koni yellows, some strut bars and a rear swaybar. My gsr came with a short ratio tranny, so for all of its 189,000 miles it has been hi revvin it on the fwy.
also dont forget. it says to be there at latest 7:30am day of the event. and there is a mandatory drivers meeting at 8am
check again, i sent it to your gmail this time
I’m excited for damp weather…and no Evos or Imprezas.
i only have tomorrow to do some work on the DA
oil change, check all fluids, check brakes, adjust suspension & check tires.
dry only tires = scary at this moment, good thing she isnt moving around yet…
ahh and i need to empty her out…
No go…
Sorry to let you guys down but I don’t think it’s worth it to drive 3 hours for this event. If there were more g2’s and if I had at least “one” friend to enjoy the event with then it’d probably be well worth the drive!
I guess I’ll have to save up for some azenis rt-615, F&R sway bars, & steel braided lines. Then I think I’ll have an OK setup for auto-x next year.
Well, good luck with the event and post up pictures and/or videos
& track times!!
Good luck Tegboi & Scratchy,
-edrive
p.s. i emailed redlinevents yesterday but I haven’t heard back about a deadline for the event.
wish i could go as well. sounds like alot of fun. should prolly get some auto x track time in before going to get a feel of my car.
so have fun guys.

i’ll be your friend
hahaha but if anything, yea… get ready for autocross, and start off with that. but i still think driving the track wouldnt be hard at all for a beginner.
Snow??
I moved from San Diego up to Fresno… Looks like highway 58 is closed and also the grapevine… it’d probably open back up before friday, but sounds like it’s freezing up there!!
Hopefully the event is still on?!.. Check your road conditions before you head up… hopefully conditions are good for y’all on DEC 19th.
Here’s info i found on road closure:

–now i have +1 friend!!.. hehehohohaha
Here’s the reply I got from redlinevents regarding a deadline and the latest time you can arrive:
“You can sign up at any time for this event. You can pay at the track if you like as well. If you can get to the track by 8.30 you’ll be fine.”
The weather is not going to make for a good commute to the event… so those who are attending, a) hopefully the event is still on b) drive slow on the way there.
Take care and good luck!
just got out the shower. and heading out there early. see you guys there. i’ll be loaded up with blankets over layers and layers of sweaters & sweats. hahaha
as per weather.com

… BLACK ICE ON MOUNTAIN AND DESERT ROADS TONIGHT…
ROAD SURFACE TEMPERATURES IN THE KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS HAVE COOLED TO NEAR TO A FEW DEGREES BELOW FREEZING. THIS HAS CAUSED A THIN LAYER OF BLACK ICE TO FORM ON SEVERAL MOUNTAIN AND DESERT ROADS. DRIVERS IN THE KERN MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS SHOULD DRIVE WITH CAUTION… AS BLACK ICE IS HARD TO SPOT… ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. SLOW DOWN… ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION… AND LEAVE EXTRA STOPPING DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU AND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU.
also, have heard about highway 14 being closed, so if you use yahoo.com maps you can put your address in, put in the address of the race track
3500 75th St W, Rosamond, CA, 93560
and after your directions come up, you can click on the portion of the freeway that goes onto highway 14, and drag that towards the left. onto the area that’s still taking interstate 5.
my directions make me take 405 north, 5north, to exit 138. which takes me toward the track a different route than highway 14.
its about 20 minutes longer, but as traffic shows on yahoo maps, there is less traffic, and less chance of black ice.
see you guys there! drive safely!
fox 11 says the 14 is open!!
holy hell that was a fun day!!!
left here 4am, and just got back home at 7:30pm
used about a full tank at the track, and oh you know damn right im going back! just hopefully on a warmer day. hahaha
Sounds like you got a lot of track time!!.. Was this your first time out there at streets of willow? How was the turn out? Any pics or vids?
Who won, tegboi or scratchy??.. haha
Post again the next event you might attend and hopefully more g2’s will attend!

wow! That looks like a lot of fun. I hope to go to Fontana next year.
TEGBOI, do you have anymore vids? Did those Nissan Z’s come along with your group or were they special vehicles? The look like they had special one off nismo set ups???
no idea at all. didnt talk to them much, but yes they did look pretty nice.
the only cars that they had at the track, were alot of celicas. all done up in TRD vinyl & such. one of the older celicas was on the road running in intermediate & advance classes i think also…
