December 19th, 2008 - Friday

Streets of Willow track event hosted by Redline

The streets is a great short track, and local favorite. This track provides a good start for novices, yet gives advance drivers a challenge as well. We’ll be running the full track with the bowl. This is a 1.8 mile road course with 14 turns and three elevation changes, and plenty of run-off space for a safe track going experience.

We’ll be running the Counter Clock Wise.

$130 for a full day evnet
$50 Driving school (optional)
$30 lap timing (optional)

This event is a self-tech event. It is your responsibility to make sure your car is safe for the race track. CLICK HERE to down load a tech form.

bah, i have a doctor’s appointment i can’t miss on the 19th

Every day I miss work I lose 200 dollars … not worth it :frowning:
What was wrong with speedventures on the weekend?

damn…maybe, ill see how much money i have left after rent and buying gifts :frowning:

track event > gifts

I have work that day, plus my car doesn’t have an engine in it :frowning:

2 of my hommies from the bay area might be coming out for this event also… w00t

My RTA’s wiggle like the thighs of the fat chick at the club.

 not too far away… im getting more excited by the day…

Today I learned I get 2 holidays to use during december…

so are you going to do it? :dozing:

I’m in the process of swapping rear springs to stiffer ones. Then I need new tires, an alignment, slap on the new greddy exhaust, and then the usual fluids exchange. I didn’t see if there’s a deadline to sign up, hopefully I can just bring cash to the event.

i would sign up if your sure you are going. just so there isnt any “what if’s” about registering at the event

I signed up, as well as a friend in a Toyota.

damn!!! that’s friday! i’ll go to the next one! i’m upgrading my suspension/ engine/ tranny. should be ready by then!

Is there a deadline to sign up for this event? And what is the maximum number of cars for this event?

I’m very interested since i’m currently unemployed and now i have the time but just have to try and get approval from the wife for the funds…haha!!

I’ve always wanted to track my car, but I don’t know if it’s worth it since my suspension mods are that extensive and I’ll have to drive 3 hours on my b16 transmission.

What kind of suspension are you guys going to be rolling on during this track event??

All I have are illuminas on skunk2 coilovers and a front strut bar. I wished I had brake upgrades (slotted rotors/steel lines, etc) as well as more suspension upgrades (sway bars, etc).

doesnt say anything about a registration deadline

it’s $130 + $10 at the gate to get in + $30 if you want to rent a lap timer, or go buy a $15 dollar range toy from a store, and bring it with you, and they’ll rent it out to you for free…

3 hours on a b16 trans? no problem  i’ve done 6 hour drives with it… and for this day, i’ll be making a 2 hour drive…

coilovers, illuminas, and front strut bar? sounds fine, just make sure your engine & brakes are in good condition, and your tires are good too, and im sure you can have a great time…

course how to! you guys are lucky!!!

gil check your email, i sent you something

Thanks for the quick reply tegboi.

Well, i’m seriously considering coming… but i’ll have to email redline to see when is the deadline for registration. This is because i will at least need another day to think it through because i just browsed upon this event and i’m not fully prepped to make sure my car is in decent shape for the track.

I think my motor is good to go because i just put in a b20 non-vtec earlier this year. But i need to check my brakes and also probably need two stickier tires (i.e., azenis). Anyways, life on EDD sucks but i’ll let you know if i decide to come through or not.
