DEI 508T with Hornet 740T Alarm

I currently have a Hornet 740T alarm system on my DA. I want to add the option of having a proximity sensor so if people get too close to the car it’ll chirp, and so on.

Anyway I’m pretty sure the DEI 508D will work with the Hornet alarm but I’m not sure if there’s anything I have to set on the Hornet or if it’s just as per the instructions I found online for setting the DEI.

Just want to double check I’m not missing anything before I go out and buy this thing.

Any insight would be helpful, especially if you ever installed a DEI 508D on any alarm system.

Find something other then a DEI prox sensor, the DEIs are a pain to adjust and get right.94

at my shop we fight over who will install it they are a pain i usually put a switch on it to turn it off when its not needed

What do you guys recommend? Anytime I search for a proximity sensor that’s the main item that shows up as a search result. When I called Best Buy that’s what they also recommend.
