How much should I offer for complete b16a3 engine and trany with ecu, TB and intake of a european civic del sol? And at all-- shall I take it???
I got a chance to purchase this motor, but wonder how much should I offer the guy for it. I do not know the condition of the motor, it looks somewhat clean though. The guy would definitely sell it for something around 1000$.
Would it be worth to put it in my 90GS as ls-vtec, or swap it in my 93 civic ES(curently with 92kw d16z)?
Please remeber that I am located in Germany, but all your suggestions are going to be appreciated.
In the US the del sol has a hydraulic tranny, I’m not sure about overseas models. That tranny will work in your civic but not your G2. I think it would be more suited in the civic myself. But, if you want it in your teg you need to get a cable tranny.
The tranny can be sold, and the motor can be fitted to your car quite easily. Please read the VTEC swap guide for details.
