Sorry Zack I totally fell asleep. I can still come out and help if needed. I’ll check this site and my E-mail in the morning. If you still need help leave your number in an e-mail to me and your address so I can google a map to get to you.
I have to go to a job orientation at 10am this morning and wont be out till 2pm. Its off of Riverside Dr. in Fort Worth. I will call you teg_rage32 after I get out.
I have everything else that I need, rotors and brake pads its just the brake cylinder where caliper the mounts on. Its stuck wont compress and I am not taking the chance of riding with the old brakes.
Zack are you talking the rear or the front. The fronts need to be compressed but the rears need to be turned inward using a pair of needle nose or a screwdriver not compressed.
I am talking about the rears, its just the right side.
Yeah I figured that out last night, I found my Haynes manual. However when I tried that it wouldn’t budge. Maybe I need type of bar or maybe me and my dad don’t have enough muscle to turn it. Is it hard to turn it? As I said the thing will not budge at all. Can I use some PB Blaster?
Heres some more pics.
The thing directly in the center is what I need to turn inwards correct?
If I remember right it turns counter clockwise. I used a pair of channel locks hooked on the very lip. Be careful about tearing the boot. That way you have more leverage. Also open the channel locks to just barely smaller than the piston. Like I said, I’ll come out and help. We can be done in less than an hour.

yes zach that turn inward, but should require not that much force. If the pad was worn excessively then the piston may be locked out and you ill need to get another one.
Fixing to be on my way out the door guys. See you there.
Hey Ben, your friend you brought along. He might be interested in this one.
great find, but he wont be able to purchase any car soon, at least until after tax return time. Good looking out though…
bigjimslay i just found your thread! im sorry man, i really wish i could have made it up there! i just had a ton of stuff going on and forgot about it, i hope the turnout was good and hope to see some pics.
in the future, here is my email so you can get ahold of me if something is going down.
Guys, I was just thinking…what if we have the meet in late March at the same location next year, but have a bar-b-que/picnic of some sort. I’m sure there are some picnic tables over there by the lake and everyone can contribute to the items needed to make the meet a little more fun. We definitly would have to start it around noon.
And if time will allow us (depending on peoples plans for the rest of the day) maybe around 3p.m, we do a cruise around D/FW.
Input everyone!

im down…
wheres the pics?
operator207 is still cleaning them up. Might take a little while. I’m looking forward to them myself as well!
The pictures should be posted in the ‘G2IC meets and hangout pictures’ section just below this section.
Pics: they will be up in time, I have about an hour a night before my daughters goto bed to play with them. I am working on them though. I only had one that was a “throw away” so far. All he rest are pretty good. If anyone was wondering, I will be blurring the plates for privacy. Because of my lack of free time, I will need another week or two.
I am thinking of taking them and posting them soon, but unprocessed. Have you guys pick the best, and I will work on those. Sound good to anyone?
As for the next meet and bbq, that’s cool with me, though the other boat dock at Arlington lake is probably better. It has more picnic tables and more grills.
Because I know I will not get another chance to work on them until next week, I put together a preview: December 2008 Meet preview pics
Its taking FOREVER to blur everyone’s license plates. :squint:
looking good regardless but you not post yours? :nana:
Wayne. I put those bushings and mounts on,they work great. Oh yeah and I was looking at the way they were installed turns out they had no bumpstops on them.
