Hey man I am new to this site and just wanted to get to know some people. I have a very clean 90 Ls and a pretty mint 92 DB2 with the original B17. I was looking foward to hanging out with yall at the meet next month.

At last notice it will be April 18th unless something has changed. I thought we would have a list of who is bringing what up by now but things have been a bit dicey of late. Ben, Christian, are you still going to do that or do you want me to start one?

Okay seeing as the powers that be haven’t responded. I guess I’ll start a list of who is bringing what. Keep in mind guys/girls that you are buying for a semi large group so make quantities appropriate. Hopefully somewhere in the range of 30 or so, cause some of the people are bringing guests and family so we can make a day of it…

The more people that bring stuff the less each one has to bring if there are more than one person bringing the same things.

Here is the list so far… If we can get everyone on board this will be the best meet yet. As for the “adult” beverages I personally don’t mind but there is always that one person in the crowd that screws it up for everyone. Seeing as this is being set up as a “FAMILY” affair I would lean away from those types of drinks but I also can’t restrict them. I will try to find a map of the location today or this evening and post it up also.
Okay guys here is the link to the park that we are going to be meeting at. For all you guys driving gravel diggers (LOL) ie negative offset or close you should still be able to get into the parking area. There are TWO speend breakers… They are about 3-4 feet wide and maybe 4 inches tall or so. Actually I think I was going down with the front as I was going up with the rear so there shouldn’t be any clearance issues. If you can drive around on regular streets then you should have no problem with these.
Use the markers and you can actually scroll down the driveway and see the speed breakers.

Gentlemen, I do apologize about being rude of the picnic planning, I have been in exile. As some of you are aware, do to personnal problems with my life as far as employment, independance and now the most recent issue of a loss of a family member, I have been unable to participate in the discussions of recent times. I was in Los Angeles since last week caring for my mother and had just returned back to Texas late wednesday. I have almost lost everything that I have owned and am trying to get my life back in form.
My spirit has been down for sometime and am in need of starting life over. I know some of you have been very supportive of me and helping me out with getting my life on track and I am very thankful. You guys ARE first class in my heart, and that is something that I will NEVER forget.
Unfortunatlly, I need to get back in the line of work that I have skills with and put the pieces of my life back together. As of last night, through all the pain that I have endured, I just instantly packed what few things I have and left for Atlanta, GA. I am currently in Ruston, LA resting at a hotel before I continue my journey as I grew depressed with my recent loss in the family during my travels and will be leaving in another few hours.
I know people were trying to encourage me to stay to continue the G2 meets and all the networking of bringing everyone together, but I know that someone in the group can keep the movement going and have the leadership to keep it alive. I hope that you guys can do that and make it better than what I was able to acheive…no we were able to acheive!

As far as the April 18th picnic that I had planned, once again I am sorry I am unable to participate in this special event, and I know I was responsible for the charcoal and lighter fluid. I need someones leadership in my void to continue this event and make it turn out well, please do this for me as I had high hopes on a great turnout.
I will keep in contact with you all as soon as I get myself settled in Atlanta and pray and hope that you guys not only bring this picnic to a great turn out for the D/FW, but continue the legacy of the G2IC club, keep it alive and create new meets and other exciting get togethers to attract new G2 owners to be a part of something special…something that was so special to me.

So whats going to happen with you? Are you not going to come to the meets anymore? Are you going to sell your car? I wish you the best of luck on what you need to do. Hang in there, and something will turn out for you. All things happen for a reason.

Well, bring a few it you need them. It couldn’t hurt. If you have extras and the room to put them in then bring those as well. As for how many are going I would bring enough for 20 or so and if we have to we can always get more.
