So I was browsing through NWP4life the other day and stumbled across this For Sale thread.

Any of you OG DA owners or Spoon heads ever seen or have any knowledge of Spoon ever making a lip for the DA? I like everybody else who posted on that thread have my doubts on it’s authenticity. Then again, I don’t know to much about Spoon and their history.
I also wonder this. This guy lives local to me and the shop he stated does carry jdm parts and some are rare but common rare parts. Lol. The lip does look like its for the 90-91 integra but to be honest, i will not drop 1500 for a lip. Jdp has one of the best lip ever for the da. 
reading through the whole thread a few people have said that its legit, and another said he owned one 10 years ago. i posted that i’d buy it but it’d be useless to me cause i’d be terrified to put a lip i paid $1500 for on my car. especially one thats so rare no DA aficionado has ever seen one.
Looks like an OEM lip (from the AVAILABLE oem kit for the 90-91.) and nothing more.
+1 on it looking exactly like the OEM optional lip. The badge probably came with an air filter or something. Pretty sure there is no such thing as a Spoon lip for a DA. Anyone who pays any more than what an OEM optional lip goes for is retarded and for his asking price they would be smoking crack. Even a full Mugen or OEM kit hardly sell for the price he is asking for only that lip which is not even documented as being a legit product offering from anywhere other than in the OEM kit from Honda.

LOL. Even the sellers so-called emails from Inlinefour sound a bit fishy. Judging from the pics he provided, how can you authenticate the item? Well it has the Spoon badge, so it must be real. :tsk:
alright so i asked him to send me some Detailed pictures of the lip, and it still seems to me like a oem lip with a spoon sprorts sticker. let me know what you guys think from these photos he sent me
That’s not real. There’s no way. It’s an OEM lip with a spoon sticker. Kinda like his wheels. Rota’s with Mugen center caps
I thot Spoon was the maker of the oem kit. I remember another g2ic member showing off his Spoon/oem kit before with the same badge.
thats a fake one if it was the real thing they would have a stamp on the back and it would be made out of fiberglass not abs plastik and i dont think they started makeing lips for the teggys till 93 which are the 94usdm integras over here that guy should have just put a mugen sticker and said it was mugen and then i would have believed him lol

hey, that one was on craigslist huh, I’ve seen that too, I just laughed when he posted up for $1,500 and wanted to trade for ??? Fuck that, who pays $1,500 for a front lip not unless I was a millionair, lol. $1,500 I could buy me b16, I could buy me 75 lap dances too

No, it’s not.
The logo on the lip is actually Spoon’s old logo. If you have ever seen one of the old 1st generation Spoon strut bars or other products, you will have seen that logo on them.
The lip is still just an OEM/OEM replica, but the logo on the Spoon badge is their old logo.

strange, as i was just looking at pictures of spoons old EF9 and it was running the new style logo and just assumed otherwise. i havent seen that logo anywhere but on eBay but i havent been into hondas forever like you though

I wonder how many people think mechanical oil pressure gauges are shitty because you can’t figure out how to get them leak free and feel the need to post they are bad.
