My tegs dash and panal lights dim everytime I stop at a light and when I accelerate, the lights get bright again. It looks like something electrical. I recently changed my alternator so could this be caused by a bad ground or my battery? Does anyone have a idea? Thanx!
Check alternator belt tension…it might be too lose.

Yup… after a few thousand KM’s on a new belt, the belt stretches and therefore becomes loose. Go get it cheked (or do it yourself if you have the know-how and means to do so). Put it back to spec.
If you do this and it doens’t help, you may want to try upgrading the “Big 3” under the hood – upgrade (to 4 guage, or better yet, 2 guage), the wires listed below:
- Battery negative (to chassis)
- Alternator POS –> Battery
- Engine block and alternator ground (Engine block goes from front of the engine block, to the area directly behind the radiator support beam… hard to miss… also don’t forget to attach the little wire back to your valve cover).
Upgrading these should let your alternator reach its full potential.
