Disassembly of DA9 Front Seats?

Let me start by saying hello, yes I’m new to G2IC and I’ve had my teg for about 6 months now. Lots of helpful information here, and I have done a lot of searching about.

Now on to the topic at hand… I’ve been spending copious amounts of time sweating like a slave disassembling my interior to fix the minor problems in my G2 and to dye my panels/seats in the scheme I want. So far everything has been fairly easy, with the exception of the seats.

I am actually having a hard time trying to figure out how to remove the seat cover for the lower portion of both front seats. The top cover was easy enough, but I can’t seem to be able to remove the rail assemblies and separate the seat parts to get to the cover. I would really REALLY like to avoid tearing my covers.

EDIT: This is where I am at right now: Top cover is off, hog pins and the plastic clips are removed from the bottom cover, shoulder belt assembly is removed and corresponding nuts as well, slider arm cover is not off (I’m assuming it doesn’t come off unless it or the handle are broken) and is in the way of a 12mm nut holding the rail housing to the seat frame. Everything else is still assembled, and the top and bottom of the seat frame are as well. Where should I proceed from here? Remember I just want to get the covers off.

I dont remember very well but to take out my seat rail, I’ve unscrew 4 bolts. Some were behind the plastic around the seats angle ajuster (hope ou understand)

After that, I’m pretty sure it’s the same thing as the rear. Some bronze ring holding the cover.

Thanks for the input, I’ve actually just come back to my laptop to post that I’ve figured it out. For anyone who might need to know, the handle on the slider arm can be removed easily if you place a screwdriver in or against it, and lightly tap it with a hammer. The plastic handle will slide off of the metal. After the handle is off the rail cover behind it comes off easily and exposes the other nut (which is a 14mm by the way not a 12mm). The cover is secured to the bottom foam by a dozen or so hog pins which are placed throughout the metal lacing in the foam.

The PITA factor on removing this was insanely high, mostly because of the hog rings. I despise hog rings… I will be replacing them with zip ties, which won’t rust
