distributor!!! 90-93 all the same???

my ignition control module within my distributor has gone bad and instead of replacing just the ICM, i have decided it may be easier to just replace the entire distributor itself since my dad has one at his work. Although the distributor my dad has is from a 93 gs and i have a 90 rs. Will it still work is the main question?

no, it will not work. 90-91 and 92-93 distributors are different and are not interchangable. you are going to have to use a 90-91 distributor and ICM.
