Went over to help my cousin with his b20 swap and somehow his 93 ls distributor wont sit flush in the b20. It would just insert in then kinda sit there not like the b20 where itll go all the way in and flush. If its an issue, is there a diy or ez way to use the b20 dist as obd1?
i just put another B18A1 distributor in my B20. sits fine to me. obd0
does it slip right in and still not line up or do you have to wiggle it in? make sure the keyway(keys that slip into the camshafts to make it turn) or whatever its called is lined up and not upside down. If the distributor is moving when you try to crank it then you installed the keyway on wrong. with the keyway installed correctly it should slip right in and not move when its rotating.
Yeah sounds like you didn’t line up the the distributor insert to the cams position. Just line it up and twist it until it slides all in.
cam key only goes in one way. it simply wont slide in all the way if you have it 180 degree from what it should be. which seems could be the problem for the OP.
