Distributor King (eBay)

I had recently purchased a distributor from these guys off of eBay and I have to tell you I was really impressed. They have a life-time warrantry on their distributors. I was a little bit leary of buying something like this off of eBay because so many horror stories of crappy products on there. The distributor was well packed and was clean as hell!! This distributor even came with new creame colored plugs, new wiring, new cap and rotor all for $150 plus shipping. Installed the distributor and no problems at all. I highly recommend these guys!! (this distributor was for an obd0 B16A):ohyeah:

Im rocking one and its held up pretty nice.

i had one for no less than 2 months on my 1st integra that was stolen and it was great.

They get rave reviews on Honda-Tech. I’ve got one installed on my project motor, but haven’t run it yet.
For anyone thinking of getting one, if you’re a Honda-Tech member, check to see if they still offer their 10% discount.

i bought from them two times. and my friend bought from them once. absolutely no complaints. in fact, its one of few places that u can get obd-0 and obd-1 vtec distributors…

does anyone have any pics? are they just OEM replacement or actually aftermarket. I will be ruining a system soon and i am thinking about upgrading.

Here is a link to a pic of what the distributor looks like and it comes how you see it. I hope this helps everyone that is curious. http://images.channeladvisor.com/Sell/SSProfiles/22001081/Images/TD22__OVERALL.JPG

Bought one 2 years ago and its holding up great. :hi5:

Here’s some of one installed :

Good pics, showoff!! Is that a B20B I see there??

:nana: haha, no it’s just a b18a with a built bottom end. The guy I bought the motor from had a b20 cover lying around. He origianlly wanted too much $$ for it. When I picked up the motor from him I found a huge hole in the stock valve cover that wasn’t there when I first looked at it. He ended up throwing on the B20 one. That is a B20 throttle body though.

I think I got a used distributor from them last year when I built my motor and I have no complaints at the moment. I just fried a rotor button from riding on it hard especially with a b16 tranny. I actually just changed my cap yesterday and it melted the rotor button from the 1-3 oclock position next to the metal part.lol Good to hear other people hear having great luck with them cause I was kinda skeptical buying a aftermarket distributor.

I ordered one last year and specified next day early am delivery,it was $200 shipped and was on my doorstep the next morning before 10 am…great product, new cap, rotor, just bolt on and plug in,I highly recommend them.

Not from Distributor King (I did look at Distributor King but decided to go elsewhere because of price) but the '90 RS distributor just died recently I went with Laguyo on E-bay. Very happy with it and their service, and it was $155 shipped.

did you miss the part where the op paid 150$ plus shipping for his distributor king? So you decided to go with another company because of price but it was about the same?? :hmm:

Price (hey $1-$2 is money saved!) and their product photography is much better than Distributor Kings. When it comes to E-bay, I always go lowest price with the best feedback; with detailed product photos being a very important factor as well.

distributorking has 100% feedback and i think that their photos were pretty good.
just got mine in yesterday and am happy w/ it.

I just ordered one today from ebay and used my c.c. versus paypal(might work there as well) and entered “hondatech” in the discount code slot and it worked. I hear the shipping is really fast, i’m anxious to see how fast it gets here as I needed it like yesterday.

I’m not trying to piss people off here but remember that feedback on eBay only really applies for immediate problems with the sale itself, not usually with the product. Most people don’t wait to give feedback after some product use - only when they see that it arrived. That’s what this site is for.

I just bought one via eBay. I used the credit card check out and entered the code “hondatech”. It gave me $14.90 off the eBay price.
Below is what i copied from my receipt…
