Yeah, don’t go overboard. At least from looking at my head, there are quite a few casting flaws and variations from cylinder to cylinder. So there are definitly some possibilities. But, I think the main thing to keep in mind is not to start hogging out the ports as it’s pretty easy to do more harm then good.

If you are really into performance I would never port the head yourself. Or get a spare head and then try it… remember bigger isnt better.
Your also pretty much working in the dark without a flowbench…

exactly this isnt a lawnmower motor…
You can make DIY flowbench… but fuck i’d just send it to a machine shop.
