diy rear tie bar for 22 mm bars

hey i pretty much copied this guy from honda tech, http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1636865 i drilled through fram for the top bolts and the piece of metal that holds the 22m bar was from a progressive kit

that is not pretty one bit

at least it works

yeah not really interested in the apperance of the bar

dude just curious… did you use washers or any kinda plate on the other side of the frame where you drilled through for the top bolts? just wondering, i wouldnt want the top bolts ripping out because the nuts didnt have an solid backing to hold them

i too have the progress bar and i love it and this subframe brace thing looks like it might work pretty good. i only want to get any kind of bugs worked out before i dive into this kinda project. good job btw

yeah i have 2 plates in the back, which go from the bar throught the frame. i used some nylon threaded nuts at the end so they dont get loose

nice i like that. where did you get the aluminum from?

ebay i forgot the name of the company but just type in the 6061-t6 and you will find some links
