when i put my motor in i forgot to hook up the vacuum to the intake manifold from the map sensor and i started the car and then remembered to hooked it up but now it rev’s up and down from 1rpm to 3rpms. when i unhook the vacuum it stops and works fine. so do i just need a new map or what
got a new map sensor but its still doing it. i think the intake mani sucked in air. because that vacuum takes in not gives out if you know what i mean. the air gets sucked in but it.
that would be the vacuum. If your not throwing a MIL. I doubt its your map
an Idle that high is usualy the results of a major air leak. durring this swap was the IM changed?
well i just changed the block from the b17a1 to a b16a2. nothing else was touched. i just simply forgot to hook up the map sensor vacuum hose when i started the car. after is started it i hooked up the vacuum hose and it started revving up from 1 to 3rpms. when i disconnect the vacuum hose the car idles fine but sounds wierd.
there is also a squeaking noise when it idles up and down…when i turn off the car u can hear the squeaking still for like 20 seconds and it goes away
