If i have a new set of shocks and coilovers do i need to compress the coil and make them fit into the shocks??? also, do i need any old part from my old shocks to fit my new shocks and coil??
cos i am thinking i can just assemble the new suspension and simply swap it with the old one… but looking at the KYB GR2 instruction, i think i need to get old part from me old suspension and assemble it first?? is that’s right??
any experience comment would be appreciated. my ground control coilovers is on its way, and i got my GR2 already. thanks.
And yes, you will need the top hat/upper mount and the bumpstops from the stock shocks. Dont forget to cut your bumpstops as well. Do a search, you will find a lot of useful info on installing them. HTH.
like he said “you will need the top hat/upper mount and the bumpstops from the stock shocks”
you will need a compressor to get the stock assembly apart tho. Just call around to your local parts shops to see if they loan spring compressors. They usually ask for a deposit and give it back after you return it.
