wassup i wanna know if ef rack fits the ours cars i wanted take the p/s pump n the line does it fit on our cars??lmk…i wanted a manual rack
Yes it does fit, yes there are total write-ups on how to do it. You need the integra rack bushing as well as the ef bushing since the ef rack is smaller diameter and a shim to get the correct angle on the rack as well as new integra inner and outter tie rods. Other than that it’s pretty much direct bolt in. A member on here makes an aluminum bushing kit for the rack as well.
Do a search man. There are a hundred threads in here with all information you will ever need.
Try to get an SI rack, it’s ratio lock to lock is the closest to the power DA rack.
I also heard that you lose turning ratio with the EF rack. not sure but just saying.
if your trying to delete the power steering why not just have custom lines made to loop and delete the p/s?
Here’s my setup getto rigged before I took them off and brought them to a shop to make me custom lines with AN fittings and flex tube. Its going to run me like $100 or less but i’m going to keep my stock rack and have a clean legit abs delete.
thanks kid cuz ,i had no power sterring on mine n i liked i had no problems wit it but i had to buy a new cuz mines ended braking on me so i bought a new one and i still had p/S lines n tank i got a p/s pump …damn if i can find someone who can that n loop it for it??
The non Si rack has a half turn more than the stock DA rack lock to lock.
The SI rack is only a 1/4 turn shorter (which is nothing). Most our power racks probably technically need a rebuild by now regardless (you have have slight play side to side before it actually engages left to right)…so if you rebuild a manual one you will never tell the difference. Forget that looping stuff. Just remove it all and make it clean.
Well only reason I looped the lines is so that it can hold oil and still work. Don’t want it to dry out and fail.
Yeah but with the EF rack you don’t need PS fluid anymore or any of the lines. EF rack uses grease sealed inside the rack and no fluid.
The only reason you loop the lines is if your going to leave the power DA rack in the car, but want to remove the pump and all that.
I personally think the EF racks are the best option, but that’s just me. On the other hand, if your on a budget, looping is going to be cheapest and least labor intensive.
iight goodloks …
there is a guy who makes this shims for it just look it up i payed 55 shipped for it and ima about to do this in a week or so so i will let you know on the status
