Maybe 2 months ago, I went to start the Teg and it just cranked. It was rather hot and humid, so I waited a minute cause my first thought was the MFR. So after a minute, it started up. Was fine for a few weeks, then did it again one afternoon, but did start up after a minute, and was fine until last night. It did it twice and then this morning when I went to turn it on. I did notice if I press the gas pedal a bit while cranking it helps it start. It is still kinda humid around here right now. Does that sound like the MFR to you guys? If so I need one now! LOL
so I could take it out of EFs or Legends? Well I dont HAVE to give it gas to start, it just seems to help I guess. It’s been fine all day today except the very first time I started it.
Funny, I just replaced my MFR today due to the same symptoms you posted above. I drive a good distance to work daily and I was starting to get afraid it wasnt gonna start at all one day. It was pretty frequent before the replacement but Ive been messing with it all day with no signs of the symptom.
you should take it out and re-solder some of the points on the board. that seemed to help me a lot. now i only have a problem with it if i leave all windows shut and don’t use a sunscreen.
Conditions arise from symptoms, if you fix the MFR without checking the TPS then you still have the same grind. You’re resetting the butterfly when you open the throttle because?:read:
Ok I know my MFR is fucked but today just took the cake. It was like mid 90s, humid as hell, and I had figured out how to wiggle the kick panel around and watch for the CEL to turn off so I know when my car will start, but today it was so bad that it would turn on, then instantly stall. And sometimes the light went off, but no click. It took like 15 minutes for my car to actually turn over and be able to stay running. I wondered if anyone else’s main fuel relay had caused their car to stall?
mine did that for a while too, it would start, idle for about 3 seconds and then die, and it’d take another 5 mins to get it started, then started over again
