Well its a long story but to sum it all up I bought JDM headlights from them way back in the beginning of January. The passenger side headlight came to me broken. So I contacted them and the guy said he would send my information to DHL to file a damage claim and that DHL would contact me shortly. So I waited a week and heard nothing and I contacted JDM Carboy again. The guy told me that I should “be patient, I already filed the paperwork.” So I call DHL the following week and they say it takes 30-60 days to file a claim! Thats not exactly “shortly.” Well whatever I blew it off because there wasn’t anything I could do and I would just have to wait. So I wait all the way up until the 60 day mark and nothing. I call DHL and the lady their goes we have no record of a claim being filed under this package number. F*CK!!! So she says contact them and find out if you can find out for sure if it was filed. So I pull up their website and it has a nice statement saying “Dear Customers, we are temporarily not accepting web orders through paypal.” What does that tell you! And I call them and their voicemail box is full so I can’t even leave a message (oh and I called during business hours). So I decided to email them and have yet to hear anything back whatsoever for going on 4 days. So now I have to contact BBB. Bastards.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER ORDER PARTS FROM THEM!
I was just gonna order a Mugen style Twin Pass Muffler but not anymore. Do you what other reputable site i can get a Mugen Replica or something along those lines?
I agree. The BBB is more or less a rating or feedback system for potential buyers. Now if I were doing a lot of business with one shop I would investigate the BBB first. Otherwise your best bet is to throw a brick thru the window of a shady shop versus filing a BBB complaint.
i order my coilovers from jdmcarboy and there seem to be no problem with the shipping.
But…They sent me coilovers that looked nothing like the ones in the pictures, It was suppose to be blue springs and silver sleeves. They sent me red springs and black sleeves. I e-mail them and they told me, “ohh…They red one cost more and they ride better then the blue ones.” But the fact is that i didnt get what i order.
And it was shipped to the wrong house also…Lucky the lady was nice to call me and told me that they shipped the box to her house and she lived down the street from me.:whew:
Well there was, but they manage to get it out on time and not lag on it. I think the last thing that im gonna order from them is the c-pillar bar because i wouldnt know where to get it from for that price.
I purchased the ABS Plastic front lip for the 93 teg. It took almost 1 month to get it. It was poor quality and the drivers side was scratched bad. It was almost impossible to fix but I did it (only because they would not take it back…) I also got the response from them to file a DHL claim. The box came in excellent condition; why I signed for it.
I wouldn’t get anything from them ever again. They were happy to help me when I was ready to order but after I ordered, they were no help.
Oh, and the ABS piece? It was thin and poor made. Well, to be honest… it was crap. It did not survive the first few cold days. It cracked when it snowed and warmed up (damn that Colorado weather). I eventually hit a snow chunk on my way to work; it exploded into millions of pieces.
I also agree with the others. Do not buy from JDM Carboy.
