When I roll up the windows, the glass does not seal up right, leaving a 1/4" gap. I can put my hand on the glass and feel it move back and forth. How do I fix that? I had one car stolen and even though this one looks like a pile, I don’t want to have to go through that again. TIA
Check out the TegTips, it tells you how to adjust the window height and camber. Basically just take off the door panel and adjust bolts.
pull off the inner door panel and start looking around. You will notice there are some phillips head screws which hold the window onto the metal bracket that moves up and down when you roll your windows up and down. I forget how many screws there are, but i think its either 4 or 6. Pull the screws out (one by one!) and then put loc-tite on them to make sure they won’t come loose again.
then follow the teg tip on how to adjust the window so that it seats in the weather stripping correctly. Personally I found that teg tip pretty hard to follow. I’ve tried adjusting my window but without very much luck. It seemed to work great for awhile, but now that its winter time my window isn’t sealing correctly again.
The problem is probably this!..
When you close the window by the glass instead of the door, that puts pressure on the windows hinge that goes up and down the track. Mine snapped, and I went to Acura, got a new one. Only cost me something like $25 CND, took me about 30 min to replace, and adjust (easier with 2 people, one to hold the glass, and the other to replace the part). I don’t have the part number handy, but it’s the part that holds the bottom of the window and guides the glass down the track, on the door handle side of the door.
If you need any help on finding the part lemmi know.

i now have to shut my door by the glass. If i don’t push on the top rear corner while i shut the door the glass won’t go under the seal, and it’ll be open to water and what not, pretty irritating. And when i shut the door from inside i have to roll the window down a little then back up to make it seat correctly. Maybe on my spring break i’ll get off my lazy but and get around to fixing it.
yep mine did that too! all i did was when i’m in the car, i just roll down the window, then back up and that was usually ok, a lot of the time not!!! kinda annoying when your going down the highway @ 140km/h and the wind is whistling by! But like i said the part is really easy to replace, and pretty cheap.

Just so happens I have my door panels off for interior restoration. Do I have to remove the metal part of the door panel to get to these parts?
I need that metal part too. (The metal one that bolts to the actual glass and rides up and down the track) I need the rear one on the Driver’s side door. Dealer wants $35 and has to special order it. If anyone has one they want to part with, let me know.
thx
that’d be the part! as far as i can remember you can get to the part without taking any part of the actual door off, xcept the panel.
