umm… tried searching but not too sure what it was called… and “window” seal didnt return appropriate results…
Anyway back to problem… I am sure some other G2 ppl may have had the same prob… the seal between the door and window in my beloved car has started to break off… is there any method of repairing or anywhere to buy it…
mine isn’t really BREAKING, its a little cracked but not too bad but on the passenger side it just simply doesn’t seal. The window squeals like hell goin above about 60 mph(which sucks for the trip home from college, 1.5 hrs of that nonstop makes you want to kill yourself). ANybody got any remedies for this?
well just to update… i went to a ruber seal supplier for “classic cars” theres nothing that can substitute the g2 as it has a metal strip its connected too. He told me to try and “glue or rivett” a new seal to the old one… he said it would look pox and might not work…(too ghetto for my liking) …
yea, thats pretty ghetto, i wouldn’t ever just rivit stuff onto my baby… well if anybody can think of some way to fix this just please lemme know, i’m about to throw a hammer through that window.
im gonna call the dealer tomorrow to find out how much new window weather stripping would be for a 2 door and whether they have it in stock or not… ill let ya know…

they were $69 for one side and $59 for the other from an acura dealer, not sure which side is which tho… kinda weird that one side would be a buck cheaper than the other huh… o well.

werid. well, thanks for the research, lemme know if you do it and how it works, or if you find some other solution- i’m gonna try and put my mind to a little use and see if i can’t come up w/ something.
