door lock actuator hook to a oem door switch ?

does any one know how i can do this i have door lock actuators going to my alarm but i bought power lock door panels from the junkyard and would like to hook the switch to them so i can lock them as if the car came with power locks
thanks for the help

You will need a pair of relays, [SPDT] wired like this…

http://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#arp
Actuators/Reverse Polarity, and connect the door lock switch to the same place as the alarms lock and unlock leads.
The stock door lock switch will be a 3 wire switch, [ground input with a lock output and an unlock output.:corn:94

ok i have the relays hook up to the car now so when i set the alarm they lock and when i disarm they unlock
would it be like this
GREEN/WHITE from switch to lock wire on actuator
GREEN/RED from switch to unlock wire on the actuator
the third wire to ground
then it should work
or am i way off
is this the one or the bottom one

It would be the bottom one, the top one is for cars with a 5 wire power door lock system, no relays, you have to add the relays so the alarm can lock and unlock the doors.

“would it be like this
GREEN/WHITE from switch to lock wire on actuator
GREEN/RED from switch to unlock wire on the actuator
the third wire to ground”
Yes that would be correct, to the same terminals as the alarms wires.:clap:94

ok so i tried it and no luck its like there power is not constant
to the actuator
this is how i did it
wire tap in to actuator wire blue and green
[actuator]=========== GREEN/WHITE ____GREEN/RED
[switch]-ground / /
^============/ ---------------/
^lock and unlock wires^
i suck at drawing but thats the best i can do
ill try the other switch tomorrow
oh and when you say “to the same terminals as the alarms wires”
you mean the wires before the relays or after the relays to the actuator

Sorry, I should have had you clarify what you said in your first post…

“i have door lock actuators going to my alarm”

What exactly do you mean, what is the make and model of the alarm?
Does the alarm have door lock relays built in, [green and blue actuator leads connected directly to the alarm] or are the actuators already connected to a set of off-board relays, [green and blue actuator leads going to the off-board relays and alarms door lock outputs connected to the relays]?:hmm:94

the alarm is a lynx -100 http://www.panthersecurity.com/pdf/LYNX-100.pdf

but the is my set up

[alarm]======[2 relays]========[actuator]

were would the wires from the switch go A or B

[alarm]== A ==[2 relays]== B ==[actuator]

i got it i hooked it to A and it worked
