Door popper/opener help

I have door poppers in both doors, they work fine and as they are supposed to…

My problem is, when the door ‘pops’ it doesn’t open far enough… so sometimes the latch pops, then doesn’t open enough to pass the actual latch, thus reclosing the door…

does anyone know of a way to have the door open 1/4 of the way or something, I can’t have them go all the way with a full out ‘hatch strut’ because if I open the door in a parking lot, theres gonna be alot of people who will be angry at me lol…

perhaps does anyone know of a gas strut type thing I can install that pressures a bit, then loses pressure but can also be pulled out more than the pressure gives? (makes no sense but I dunno how to explain it better)

all suggestions will be entertained!

how strong are the solenoids (poppers) that you used?
Ive seen people use some 50lb to 75lb solenoids on their cars and the doors open alot more than some 15lb solenoids.

not sure, I didn’t install them, I just wired them up… probably something low like 15… cause it doesn’t open it up very much, a really huge pain in the winter… lol since the window can sometimes become pretty frozen to the body :frowning:

damn that sucks, then I suggest installing some 50lb to 75lb solenoids. Do some research first though. You wont find much here on g2ic about it.
