sounds like something is out of alignment. take the door panel off and try and make it not lock like your describing. then just look and see what isnt the way its supposed to be.
you understand?
question, are you doing this while the door is open? if so, thatās normal. if door is closed, then i donāt know.
Itās normal to have to pull the inside door handle, when locking the driver door. (with the door open)
Using the key, with the door closed, will lock/unlock it with no interaction with the handle.
X3^^^^^Driver side is supposed to be like that. Deterrent from locking your keys in, even though I still do it.

I doubt mine is normalā¦ I cant lock or unlock it from the inside without pulling handle a bit. My electronic door locks cant even lock it or unlock. Its so annoying.
Nope its closed

I did it all seems normal like nothing at all. I do see some whitish water damage? Idk looks like calcium build up
Is it something that has changed (as in, you USED to be able to, but now you canāt) or is it something you just noticed?
As weāve said, with virtually every Honda, thatās how it isā¦ To lock the driver door by hand, you have to pull the door handle and THEN lock it. Thatās just how it is.

It just started. But even to unlock it I do that. But not even my power lock door works on driver side it tries but cant unlesd I pull the handle. If thats normal there shouldnt be a power lock on that side
It is not normal, [if door is closed].
You know it works if you āpull the door handle a littleā so all you need to do is see what is moving, [a little] when you pull the handle to allow locking/unlocking.
My guess is the latch mechanism is just worn out.94
Go in and lube everything up. You try that yetā¦? Make sure none of the linkage is loose.
X56 on having to pull handle to lock drivers door lol.

I want to spray white lithium or wd40 but idk if itll mess up my automatic door locks. Or should I use a dry lubricant like graphite
Just hit mine with wd40 the other day. Like new doors lol, also slightly helps with frozen shit too cuz it displaces water. But you are in Cali so I doubt you need to worry about that lol.
Will do!! Ill let yo guys know what happena
