hey guys this might be a dumb question but anyway here it goes the interior driver door handel seems like its loose i have no knolage of interior stuff is there a way i can tighten it? and how would i go about doing that. i can literally pull the handel all the way and sometimes my door does not open so i think its just loose. thanks guys for all the help im a interior noob. lol
On the handles there is some adjustment to pick up slack in the linkage. I found this out after i dynamated the doors and they didnt open right afterwards. The handle and lock switch are held in by I think three screws into the door frame and if you loosen them it can move forward or backward for adjustment. You will probably have to remove the door panel to do this though.
what is required to remove the door panel? again sorry for the question i just have no idea how to do that.
There are a couple screws in the door you have to remove first. There is one inside of the cup, one in the cover on the door handle, one or two in the rubber handle, and one on the outside corner that I can remember. Then it has a few clips on the bottom where if you pull out on the bottom side of the panel it will pop out of them. If you remove the speaker grill you should be able to see what I am talking about. After that it has to lift up out of the rail on the top. I had trouble with that the first time so have a little caution, but it might be hard coming out. My panel came out with that rubber piece that goes up against the window, it may or may not. If you have an other questions just let me know.
thanks for your all your help ill give it a shot tonight hopefully i get it fixed.
hey guys i broke my front window handle in my car cuz im a dumbass. where can i get another one besides at the junkyard cuz i looked but found nothing. thanks
got a pepboys or autozone near you? The have a product line called “HELP!”. It has many generic items ranging from clutch pedals to lock levers and everything in between. They may have a window crank handle that fits.
