OK, New England is drowning, and hence so is my car. I left for my sisters graduation just as the rain started and I got back today to find a pool of water on the entire driver side (pedals to back seat). I happened to be in the process of fixing other leaks all over the car recently and those are all either protected temporarily or fixed (I HATE RANDOM DRIPS FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOF!)
Ok, so I checked it out and I think it is coming from under the “resting” pedal, that pedal way over to the left of the clutch pedal where you can put your lazy foot when your driving for hours on end. Basically just looks like some water is “coming out from under the rubber”. Is this against where the water drains from below the windshield? (I am in the middle of replacing the seals for the air vent leak passenger side, so the driver side below the windshield is about as exposed as it gets). I figure a seal may have gone bad and allowed water to leak through from the outside.
Any other ideas? I am just looking for suggestions for what else to look for tomorrow when I go out to the car and see whats goin on. Everything above that pedal appears to be bone dry. The sun roof drain hoses all appear to work properly.
Thanks!
(I plan on getting some kind of leak help thread going once my car stops drowning. 2-3 months of fixing leaks takes it’s tole with time and almost every leak I get is abnormal or at least throws a twist at me. I hope people aren’t constantly dealing with these).
