driver side window seal water leak.

So it’s been raining bad in cali and a small water drip just turned into a drenched seat.
water drips from the upper part of my window. It’s not leaking from the point the window seals to the weather guard. Water drops build up on the seat belt track and drip on the seat.
anyone have an idea how to remove the seat belt track so I can find the leak.

The water is leaking in behind the stainless bracket that the window seal mounts to. There is a foam seal on the back of the bracket that deteriorates over time. You can buy replacement foam off of Amazon. You have to remove the seal to get to the 15 screws on the trim bracket.

Perfect timing to, my power seat belt motor gave out so I ended up sourcing another at the pick n pull. while I had the motor out I also took out the rubber seal you mentioned, then pulled out the metal brackets. I didn’t have any of that foam seal so I used the 3m 1 inch wide double sided tape. It’s rubber and tacky so why not.
leak is now gone. Thanks.
