the hard hit in the video (where the car starts beeping and I go oh fuck) was enough that I had decent whiplash the next day.

it’s a 1990 (salvaged, hence the later hood) with oh… 75k old KYB GR-2s, otherwise stock (although a fair number of interior bits have been removed)

HA!! thats some cool s**t man. I bet that was pretty fun, minus the big dip you ran into. Were other people staring at you like you were crazy?

hahhah thats awsome. so is this your dayly driver?

wagon attack inspired?

that was exactly what I thought.

how was the traction?

staring at me? I even had a couple people posing for pictures with me.

Nope, not my daily driver… my CBR929RR is, although it’s currently for sale (btw, it got run over by a semi before I bought it… and the rider died)

When I posted the pictures and video somewhere else, I was linked to wagon attack… but no, I hadn’t seen it before I went out there.

As far as traction goes, I got kinda stuck once - in the pictures, actually, because I stopped a little harder than I should have. Two people pushing me (on foot) and some throttle got me out. Other than that, taking the appropriate line I could go anywhere I wanted. Traction was certainly limited, but not as bad as you might expect. Tires were at 15psi.

I coulndt buy anything with a history like that and I hope your not telling that to all your prospective buyers:uhoh:

back on topic. that had to have been a great day, im sure your be cleaning sand out of it for the next couple of years LOL :up:

I figure I owe it to any potential buyer to tell them the history of the bike… unless I end up posting it on Craigslist, fuck those guys. In that case it was just crashed hard.

All of the posts I’ve made on forums have had the whole truth.

bumping this thread because I want to show more people what can be done in their cars.

thats so sick man. i wish texas had dunes

and bumping it again because I had to find it to post a picture somewhere else.

Remember: your car can go damn near anywhere you’re willing to take it.
