well im redoing my interior. before i used SEM Colorcoat to paint the vinyl panels, now this stuffs about 10 bucks for a average sized aerosol can. anyways i am redoing it in black so i went ot WalMart and picked up a few cans of Duplicolors Vinyl and Fabric paint in flat black and a can or Duplicolor High Performance wheel coating in graphite metallic for some misc. suspension components. all i have to say is WOW. SEM is supposed ot be a professional paint for upholstery shops and the Duplicolor paint was sooo much better. goes on easy, dries extremely fast and its looks like the panels are stock, never painted. i painted my rear lower tie bar with the wheel coating and same thing, the paint is AWESOME. matches my wheels perfect and its really nice and sparkly. ill try and post some pics for ppl to see, last time i tried it took forever. anyways anyone who is looking to paint anything GET THIS PAINT, at about 4 bucks a can you cant beat it. i was so shocked when i saw the finished panels. they look amazing.
peace n be E-Z
EDIT- i didnt wanan erase this whole thing so ill just mention it here. the panel i painted was the top half of the rear side panels. i removed the arm rest peice (metal covered in fabric) and i sprayed the vinyl panelAND the fabric. my interior was originally palmy blue, then painted white and the paint covered up nicely. i used acetone and a brush to scrub the old paint off and washed the panels and then painted. the paint covers the fabric really good too…and it doesnt get too stiff after it dries.
