Durable Side Skirt Paint?

I had a $3k paint job done on my Teg before I garaged it 5 years ago and now that I brought it out of the garage and back on the road I notice my side skirt paint is getting dinged and cracked by rocks. I live on a dirt road and I guess even me going like 5mph on it still is kicking up rocks.

What I did in the meantime is make some ghetto mudflaps, basically buying a piece of rubber molding from Home Depot and cutting it to fit the front part of the skirt and using the skirt bolts to attach it to the skirt. It looks decent I guess, better than having to touchup paint every weekend, but maybe there’s some sort of paint or whatnot that I can use, or some sort of coat that would make it that I don’t have to use these mudflaps I made?

Thanks.

yea i think theres this kind of liquid shit you could use…a friend of mine knows i’ll ask him and i’ll get ack to you.

You could try some form of gel coat, but instead you could make sure to mix the proper amounts of flex additive to the paint when you spray them. The same thing applies to bumpers…

Yah this morning I just noticed 2 big dings in the front bumper when I took it to the car wash, really pissed me off. So this flex additive, can you tell me a little more about it, first time I heard of it. Is it something I can just get from where I get my paint?

Thanks,

Its just something you mix into the paint that you are using on plastic parts and stuff. Adhesion promoter can also be helpful.

u could prob use that clear vinyl they put on hoods and lights to protect it from sh*t like that…
