Dying backseats black...

yep, its me again trying to changed my rags into gold…i have tan front/back seats, just ordered matrix racing seats as you might have seen from my last thread, was just wondering, any way i dye my back seats? im poor so i can afford a can of spray…but not much else, i just dont want to have ALL black interior with red shiftboot black/red seats and tan seats in the back, kinda :ghetto: ya know…anyone know if theres stuff to order out there or at an autopart store than i can dye my back seats with? thanx! :gotrice:

i also have to dye my seatbelts…

there is interior spray dye in a spray can or the one you mix and dye yourself. I would recommend the one that you mix yourself. They sell it at any autostore. Not sure about the seat belts but you can try it out yourself.

ah thanx!

You could try a seatcover for the back. I just changed my interior from tan to black and got a black seat cover for the rear. Doesn’t look like a recovered seat but it is black. As for the seatbelts, check eBay. I got a complete set of black seatbelts for like 30 bucks.

Similar question - I have a red RS hatch and although the interior of the car appears to have once been black, the seats are all a blueish hue - And the back two are VERY blue. I considered that the car may not have the original paint, but the rest of the interior is grey/black and the carpets are original and grey.

Has anyone else experienced similar fading from the hatch glass? Would you recommend the dye mentioned above?

Note: Just called a national parts store chaina nd they had no idea what I was talking about, said interior dyes are not something they would carry if it did - HUH?

Thx!

dude dying your seats is way more ghetto than them being tan.

There are plenty of covers available on Ebay, depends what you want…at www.aadepot.com, they have plenty of styles, and they might have what you want. Covers are not a bad idea, these guys make them for the back seats as well. Just an idea

hey i sprayed my back seats with the interior black spray that you can get from any paint store or auto supply store that carries paint…but i get alot of comments on it…alot of people like it and cant tell that i painted them…after you are done it will be stiff but after a little while they go back to normal…if you dont want to wait that long… you can take a vacuum and it will work that way too… oh yeah and mine has never bleed either.

j/c, please post pics.

yeah, i wanna see too :gotpics:

I have some black rear seatblets if interested.
