hey just got my car tuned about two weeks ago and dont think they did a very good job…need somebody to evaluate…they tuned with crome…I think there is to much of a drop when vtec kicks in, car smells rich, and the guy didnt give me an air/fuel print out either…not happy,
very first run made 155
set up
b18c1 freshly rebuilt has 2,400 on it now
blox IM
hondata intake gasket
IM and gasket portmatched to head
mild port job three angle valve job
skunk2 stage 1(tuner series)
AEM adj. cam gears
skunk2 valve springs/rp72 piston with JE rings
gsr exhaust manifold(i know need a header)
1 piece cold air intake with k&n filter
highflow cat(test pipe)2 1/4 piping n1 muffler
your car is probably running rich and im sure u have plenty of mods left that you wanna do right? well with it running a lil rich when u start makin more mods like cams, higher comp pistons, a header, bigger exhaust, u wont have to neccasrily get it tuned again cuz the extra fuel u have now will compensate for ur new mods. And like anubis said, right now ur motor is practically stock and ur putting up slightly higher then average numbers. hell get an ls crank and rods and stroke that bitch out to a 1.9.
I use to have that same dip with my set of crower cams, ended up having to raise the vtec to 6000 once that happened it ran much better. Just looking at that dyno graph makes me think you should get it retuned. Just my opinion. Good luck with your build
173 whp is not bad for what u have. That dip as stated earlier could be fixed but for the most part thats a pretty good tune. It would be easier to tell u if there was an a/f reading but 173whp id say is a pretty good number for what u have.
Your cams can only do so much with that gsr manifold, it’s choking. Get a new header and your number should jump a bit more.
How does that dyno compare to a dyno jet? My b20 vtec got 190 on the dyno jet with a crappy e-manage and a crap exhaust. I got power fc now and waiting on a new exhaust for retune. Hopefully 200+. lol
what is ur c.r.? if its stock, ur power is about right. how much did u expect to gain from the s2s1’s? itr/ctr cams can hang with s2s1’s thru pretty much the entire powerband. plus, ur running a stock exhaust manifold…wow, these number are good, trust me.

The statement above is pretty on point.
The Skunk 2 Stage 1’s will will not make a big difference… but is better then the stock cams. Stage 2’s are a better choice if you are planning on staying all motor.
What compression are you running?
Is that a mustang dyno? or dynojet.
173whp is not bad considering you made like 18-23 wheel hp with all your mods so far.
You really do need a header and intake manifold. I’m pretty sure that stock GS-R exhaust manifold is restricting badly as TurboG2teg311 said.
Good luck bro! You’re doing great so far.
thanks db2…I already have the blox intake manifold, installed…hopefully getting a header this week, yeah i have stock b18c1 compression…hopefully i can get some more out of this set up…
My bad, I didn’t see your listing of the Blox IM .
The header you mention you are planning on getting is an over kill, don’t you think?
Thats a serious all motor header, unlike your cams.
I used a DC sports 4-2-1 which allowed 179hp to make it to the front wheels.
I then switched to a Greddy 4-2-1 because the DC Sports got flatten under the car ( speed bumps and being 4 inches lower than stock hight),
The Greddy allowed 187hp to the front wheels with tuning of course.
I paid $300 for the Greddy header.
