all i need to know…theres some carbon build up and i want to clean them up for whoever buys them

Are you talking about your B20?

Regards,

wire brush
and this should be in the help section :stuck_out_tongue: :wrong:

b16-- i have a set of PR3 pistons im selling

wire brush should work, but i dont really think it really shouldnt be in the help section— its not directly dealing with the integra

Brakleen spray might do the trick? spray and wipe?

WD40

before you whip out the dremel, get some simple green and just wipe, it works wonders!

“OXYCLEAN!!! Oxyclean, mother nature’s cleaning agent.”

Use OxiClean, the Stain Specialist Inside, or outside - all around your home… On stains from wine, juice, pet messes, baby formula, and other organic stains… To care for clothes, carpets, upholstery, grout, cat litter boxes, unfinished wood decks and more!
OxiClean is colorsafe and odor free. Simply dissolve OxiClean crystals in warm water. Then, adjust the strength of the solution to match the task.

That damn commercial is on all night long!!!

J/K…I doubt this stuff even works on clothes.

i wonder, since even the brand name cleaners are featuring oxygen or orange additives

G2guru, use a product called, CHEM DIP. Make your pistons look like new, beautiful

Chem Dip…works wonders. Check it out…

A few words of caution though…

  1. Use in well ventialted area (outside FAR away from others).

  2. Do NOT get this sh*t on your body or hands.

  3. It smells like crap and lingers for a long time, so be warned (your neighbors may complain or think that Osama Bin Laden launched chemical warfare on the US).

  4. Make sure you get it off all of the parts that you are cleaning. I use simple green for the final touches. Best of luck.

where can i get it??? how much $$???

I picked mine up from Baxter’s Auto Parts here in Portland. It costs about $12 or so. It’s in a large white tin container with a red and blue label. Hope this helps.

thanks alot…ill try and find it

i cant find this stuff anywhere in PA…any ideas?? are there any other names for it??? no one has heard of it, then again it is PA

i found the stuff…autozone had it surprisingly

Cleaning Agents…

Ok this comes from my VW experience…(you guys can stop wincing now)… I’ve used Castrol Clean. The sh*at is strong! If anyone of yall has seen a really greasey VW aircooled engine (basically a greases ball with with cylinders and a fan shroud lol) I melted that stuff away with that stuff no problem whereas in the past I had to use a case of carb/brakekleen. Though a word of caution it will ruin any finish that you have on and any seals. :burnout:

chem dip is STRONG!!! i got a drop on my bare leg and it didnt feel to good!!! i had water on it in about 15 seconds, but i still felt it
