hey guys,
its been a while. mainly because ive been way too busy with work and school to have fun with my car…
i took my car out the other day for the first time in months and i realized i definatly need brakes…
i was looking for something relatively cheap, (i dont want oem) so i found this deal on ebay…
mostlikely im going to get rid of the car soon so im not trying to go balling and buy a nicer setup but i was curious if anyone had any experience with these???
The axxis pads are a name brand pad and I think i have heard of the rotor before. I say go for it it cant be that bad. Ebay brakes can’t be any worse than the cheap shit you get to your local parts store.
Advance Auto * haha, and yeah they have some decent stuff, moog parts is pretty much all i buy there tho, at least for my car. their pads and rotors are pretty shitty lol dusty as hell and don’t last for shit. but i have a commercial account so i buy everyone elses parts there haha.
i just bought brand new brake pads and rotors from the dealership. I satisfied with it. FYI, i was talking to a shop that I go to, they said that aftermarket brakes work just as fine, but they don’t last long enough compare to OEM. Just letting you guys know if your on a tight budget, OEM is the way to go for longer lasting.
I didn’t say it was. I said that the cheap stuff is. If you go in and ask for the cheapest bad it is shit. If you go in and ask for the cheapest rotor it is shit. Personal experience tell me that. I don’t buy from Advanced because the only Advanced near me is in the middle of Mexico and they don’t speak English in the store. I usually use O’Reilly’s.
You can’t go wrong with Brembos. And it’s a complete set with 4 rotors. I bought them for my old DA with some EBC green stuff, and wow, does it feel good knowing you have Brembos hahahaa…word
Buy Brembo if you want to constantly replace your rotors. Sure they give great initial bite and therefore stop your car “better”, but that’s because the metal is soft as fuck. They have about half the life of an oem rotor.
Why do people suggest performance rotors for a car that’s not performance oriented? Go to NAPA, buy standard plain replacement rotors.

Blanks are the way to go if you’re only DDing… very cheap and you won’t run the risk of them cracking if you need them turned…
See the term “better” is subjective. Each is “better” in its own way. For daily driving, yes Napa OEM replacements are far “better” and more cost effective that Brembos. You see, Brembo increases the stopping power of their rotor by using a softer metal composition so the pads can bite into them easier.
Here ill break it down.
OEM or replacement – Lasts longer – plenty of stopping power for the street.
Brembo/blank/ slotted whatever – Lasts about half as long as the OEM – Better stopping power under “race” conditions.

i bought those last may from the same seller. he messed up and sent me 2 sets for the front instead of one. so i got a 2 for 1 deal. i sold the second set and broke even =]
i say get them. they look really good and i havent really noticed a difference in performance. but as far as issues go, none to report.
sorry i posted this and have been so busy i couldnt follow up.
I ended up buying these and to be quite honest they are what they are. I dont know if they work better then other brands- compared to worn down pads on warped rotors anything is better.
but all and all i would recommend these if someone couldnt find a better deal else where.
