Has anyone had trouble fitting headlight bulbs in these things? I just tried to install some 9004’s in yesterday and it didn’t want to go in the housing. Do they use different bulbs?
they’re cheap made headlights. you have to modify the hole to fit the 9004 or 9007 bulb.
yeah if u look at the clear part of the housing it says 9007 on it
These lights fit a 9007 bulb. That means you’ll need to swap 2 wires on your plug. There is no modifying any portion of the housing to fit these as long as you use 9007 bulbs
i had to modify my set to fit 9007s. im sure it depends on each headlight. cheap stuff imo.
thanks for the replies guys. figured out they were 9007’s like previously stated. one question though, I didn’t switch the 2 wires on the stock harness around and the headlights work, but my high beam indicator light stays on regardless if I switch from high to low beams, it just dims itself a bit but it’s still on. Would not switching the wires around cause this?
yep. and that is why you need to swap the wires
hey i have a question. how’d u get urs to fit so well? did u install them yourself? mine are still sitting in a box in storage. after i found out they weren’t a direct swap, easy bolt-on affair, i gave up.
I just installed them. it’s pretty straight forward. only thing you gotta change is the wiring for the headlight bulbs. I have lil gaps up under the lights, it doesn’t sit flush with my bumper. I don’t expect it to though, the OEM headlights have a bolt on the bottom of the OEM assembly that holds it in place behind the front bumper. these ebay lights only have 3 bolts on top that hold the assembly in place.

what does having a turbo have to do with me getting actual one pieces?
didn’t want to make another thread, just curious if someone can answer my question I am in the process of doing a retrofit on these lights, I just hate the scatter too much. if I paint the inner reflective part of the housing (pictured below) will the light still be emitted enough to see on the road? I was gonna black out the inside and run with HID’s with no glare guards just to test it for a week or so. Then install the projectors.
