Ebay hid kits??

hows the ebay hid kits if anyone has them? planing on getting some dont know if i should travel down to ELKGROVE. CA to get them or just get them from ebay… i think ima have to make that drive down though just to be on the safe side

i had 2 sets of them.
first set was 9004 6k.
had it for a year with no problems at all.

sold it and got my second set 9004 8k
had it for 3 months because it had a strange problem of not wanting to turn on.have to keep turning it off and on.
i’d say its a hit or miss on ebay.

go with DDMtuning.com.
I’ve bought several kits and none of them were defective. There on all of my families cars.

What’s the cost? Theeres this thing in elkgrove for 80 kifetime warrenttty I think I’m just guna do that

$60 shipped for slim ballast ddm. lifetime warranty
$43 shipped for apexcone raptor hids.normal ballast.lifetime warranty.
and those are shipping prices to tennessee. since there located in san diego.it should be a couple dollars off for shipping.

i got “bi-xenon” (solenoid actuated) HIDs from Ebay. the brand was VVME or something like that. been going strong for about 2 years.

VVME is good too!several of my friends have them.i would rather buy directly from there site.

http://vvme.com

whats the difference between the slim and the raptor??? will the reg raptor fit?

For one-piece or stock headlights?

stock…

also hows the 35?? compared to the 55w? i want it bluish purple… dont want 12000 but im thinking about 10000k

raptor’s just a bigger ballast.just your preference.yes they will fit.just order the right size for your headlights.
35w to 55w is noticeable .its quite brighter. but when ordering 55w kits you have to remember that it will wash out some color to make it brighter.for example if you wanted a 6k look.you’d have to get 8k ,or if you wanted 10k you’d have to get 12k.and so on and so on…

so if i was to get the 55w 12000k it wudnt look full purple right?? i dont want it full purple. i want a faint of it

go to ebay.com

look up an advanced search by seller

Mototekc

i have personally installed over 35 kits in the past 3+ years and have had No problems with them at all. i pay 50 bucks canadian and they have it shipped and delivered within 5 days 95% of the time.

i think there too bright need to find a way to dim them down… hints anyone???

^^ do a retro fit. those light blind the fck out of on coming cars!!

+1 Retrofits are the best way to use HIDs.

You can also make glare guards for those bulbs if you’re dead set on using that cheap kit. Search through blkack1’s build thread for some pictures of what the glare guards look like. I believe he used a soda can or thin sheet metal. Basically the point is block the front and bottom half of the bulb so it can’t shine against the reflector where you don’t want it to. I still recommend you consider it a part time fix and retrofit in some quality HID components if you want HIDs. You won’t be dissapointed trust me.

What HID kit could i use for my JDM one piece head lights. I notice they aren’t 9004 no more they are H4H if i’m correct. Don’t want to spend too much. Lookin for maybe a crystal white onlt no blue. What should i go with. Had 5000k in mind. HELP PLEASE… Thanks.

9004 hid will fit in the jdm headlight
