ECM reset/Idle relearn after switch fuel/octane

Hey folks,

I’m trying to find out if this strange, problematic, or just an OBD-0 thing.

So basically I filled up with 87 octane (ethanol free) + a bottle of octane booster every fill up for about 2 months, everything’s going great, and the buttdyno is detecting more more power.
Then hurricane Irma comes through and everyone started stockpiling gasoline so I HAD to fill up with 87 /w 10% corn juice ethanol (with a bottle of octane booster), and 20 seconds after pulling out of the station she started idling real low and trying to stall out at the light.
Later that evening I reset the ecm and let her idle without touching the pedals, restarted the car and she ran ok’ish (she seems to really hate the ethanol), now yesterday night to my joy the pure gas pumps are active again, so I dump a bottle of booster in and put in about 3/4 tank of pure 87 gas in and head to Wendy’s, sit at the drive thru for maybe 10 mins, park and shut off the car to eat for 15 mins then when I start back up there it is again, low bogging idle around 300 rpm at idle.

I’m gonna do another ecm reset in the morning but seriously, what’s the deal?! Is this common?

Please share your experiences with this, it’s no big deal, but it is confusing.
