So I did some searching online and I have read that the sensor is below the distributor and I’ve also heard that it’s by the thermostat. I also have a sensor there too. So my question is what one is it? I just got my car back from the tuner a few weeks ago and I have been taking my time cruising in it. The sensor by the distributor was unplugged and I didn’t throw a check engine light. I was told if it was unplugged it will throw a code 6. So does this mean it’s in the back by the Thermostat? If pics will help let me know and I post up some pics. Thanks for the help
BTW I have tried to search for this problem before creating this thread but I can’t seem to find the answer.
I’ve discussed this repeatedly, however just doing a search on my own right now didn’t yield any results at all, maybe there’s a bug w/ the new forums. The thing you need to remember is that there is not a single “ECT”, there are THREE. A lot of the pics are no longer good, but the info is all still there: http://forums.g2ic.com/showthread.php?196564-Engine-Coolant-amp-Oil-Temp-amp-Pressure-Swiches-Sensors-amp-Sending-Units-Explained&highlight=sending+unit
