i have a 92 teg, i have the wrong ecu in my car i think, it’s a pr3 and i believe the obd1’s have to use the obd1 ecu’s. I read the teg tips swap guide by Dan, and i have this major question to ask.
Does the pr3 ecu in my obd1 car mess with my smog? I am thinking this is my number 1 culprit. Thanks for advice in advance.
how do I tell if it’s the right one? The car starts, but idles really high for a bit, then falls down, and gets horrible smog readings. It starts, but runs like crap, does it have anything to do with the o2 sensors?
It says pr3 on the ecu, but i’m assuming i’m using the obd1 wiring harness off the original b18, because my injectors are plugged in with the grey plug and the car starts =\
so u wired up a 1st gen b16 to your obd1 car? well for one, u should’ve went witha grey plugged motor to make things easier… rather than reverting back to the older style wiring. the 88-91 b16 pr3 shoudl be reading 2 o2 sensors. sorry but this sounds all too wrong here… who did the swap for you? curious?
I actually bought it this way, from a friend, i’m not familiar with who did the swap, but the car starts and runs, i’m just trying to narrow down the possibilities. Do you have AIM so I can chat with ya? thanks
