ecu vtec

is there a site or if some one on here will know off the bat each ecu where vtec comes in.
i have 3 ecu but i want to used the one that it will takes longer for vtec to kick.there all obd1 and not chip but the p28 is chip if matter

p61
p30
p72
for the hell if it p28

I could be wrong, but I believe VTEC turns on at the same RPM across the board, unless you decide to chip one.

look in the teg tips. somewhere in the engine swap guide, there is a link to a table with all of the ecu info on it. i think the p28 and the p72 would have the lowest crossover of the two… i dunno.

P72 VTEC crossover is 4400 RPM and is sooner than a P30 or P61 which makes sense because the power band of a B18C1 (P72) would be different than that of a B16 or 17 (P30 or P61). Having said this, that doesn’t mean you are better off with VTEC cutting in at a lower RPM. It depends on the power band of your engine.
